About this position

We are seeking a talented Senior Ruby Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our designers, backend developers, and project managers to build high-quality, scalable, and performant applications. You’ll have the opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior developers, and shape the technical direction of our development practices.

What you will do

  • Design and develop backend services using Ruby on Rails
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Work on legacy code modernization and refactoring projects

Skills and requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest)
  • Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque)
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerization
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Contributions to open source projects
  • Experience with agile methodologies
